Supports the planning and development of the City’s Park and Open Space system. Responsible for assisting in the design of parkland and trail projects, preparation and review of parkland and trail development projects, landscape plans and tender documents. Performs site inspections of municipal park and trail development projects including associated landscape work required under development agreements.
• University Degree in Landscape Architecture.• Minimum of two (2) years related experience. OR• Community College Diploma in Landscape Technology or equivalent. • Minimum of three (3) years related experience. • Membership or eligibility for membership in Ontario Association of Landscape Architects. • Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the public, staff, community groups, developers, and other levels of government. • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and GIS required. • Class “G” drivers licence in good standing with a reliable vehicle for corporate business.
